Deep Dish Pizza, Cubs, and Patient Engagement

At RSNA this year, enjoy local culinary classics, celebrate the hometown's baseball champs, and join the #JACR tweetchat.

What a difference a year makes! Between RSNA 2015 and RSNA 2016, who would have thought the Chicago Cubs would overcome a 108-year-old drought to win the World Series? On the other hand, some things stay the same, like getting together with radiology colleagues and friends again in one of the many wonderful restaurants that the Windy City has to offer, whether steakhouse, pizza restaurant, or gastropub. So too it is with the #JACR tweetchat. At RSNA 2015, there was a great turnout, both in person at the ACR booth, but also virtually with colleagues from around the world, for our tweetchat about health services research and policy in radiology. This year, there's a completely different topic, but expect the same robust lively exchange with both leaders in the vanguard of radiology practice innovation and radiologists from around the world who provide value-added care every single day.

This year, the #JACR tweetchat at RSNA highlights the ACR's Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) Commission and its ongoing work to increase patient engagement. Look also for the December 2016 special issue of the JACR about PFCC. The tweetchat discussion questions focus on patient engagement in the domains of quality improvement and imaging research.

Come to the ACR booth # 3123 in Hall A in the South Building at 12 noon Central Time to participate. If you can't attend in person, join us onTwitter ( #JACR), then use that hashtag in all your tweets. You can easily follow along (and have others follow your comments) from anywhere that you can access Twitter.

Want to re-visit last year's RSNA 2015 #JACR tweetchat (or any other past tweetchat)? Just go to the JACR twitter archive.
